NewsViliv Announces Windows 7-Toting S10 Blade Tablet, Boasts 10 Hour Battery

Viliv, the company responsible for the S5 handheld and S7 tablet, was on hand at IDF to show off its upcoming S10 "Blade" with a 10-inch swiveling touchscreen display.

Complimenting the display is Windows 7, although multi-touch support is disappointingly left out of the equation. What wasn't overlooked was a full QWERTY keyboard. The S10 will also ship with either a 1.33GHz or 2GHz Atom processor, 1GB of RAM, choice between a 60GB hard drive or 32GB SSD, Bluetooth, WiFi, 3G, and at least two USB ports.

Viliv says users can expect 10 hours of battery life, or 7 hours of nothing but non-stop video. That alone might make up for the lack of multi-touch support.

The S10 is slated for release in November. No word yet on price.

FeaturesHands-On with Lenovo's Shiny (and Tiny) IdeaPad S10

We met with Lenovo this afternoon to talk about some of their upcoming products (to be revealed in the coming weeks and months), and they brought along a pre-production sample of their recently announced IdeaPad S10 netbook. We couldn’t help but resist getting some hands-on time with this tiny portable, including snapping up a dozen photos for you to enjoy. The S10 we saw was a red 9” version that will ship in international markets, while the US edition will offer a 10.2” glossy screen and come in 3 color options (red, white, or black). All variations of the S10 will run Intel’s 1.6GHz Atom processor (45nm, 533MHz FSB, 512k L2 Cache), though the best thing about the IdeaPad has to be its $399 price point.
