Thanks to an oopsy-daisy moment by Verizon's web team in which somebody prematurely pushed the 'live' button on a product page announcing the "Droid Incredible" by HTC, we already knew the smartphone would ship later this month. News spread like wildfire on the Internet and it didn't take long for Verizon to take the page down, but now it's up again, on purpose, and with a preorder button.
According to the product page, HTC's Incredible retails for $529.99, though you can get it for far cheaper. A 2-year contractual commitment combined with a $100 online discount knocks the price down to $200. If you're only willing to sign up for one year of service, the phone runs $270, whereas month-to-month service doesn't include any discounts at all.
Verizon promises delivery on April 29. The Incredible includes a 3.7-inch WVGA OLED touchscreen with virtual QWERTY keyboard, 8MP camera with auto-focus and video capture, Google's Android 2.1 OS covered by the next generation Sense UI, Push Gmail and Exchange, 8GB of internal memory, a speedy 1GHz Snapdragon processor, Bluetooth 2.1, and a bunch more.
