Unless you're willing to rely on the cloud, the amount of built-in storage is paramount when picking out tablets like the 
Ah, irony. Google really wants the Nexus 7 tablet to sell well, so it's gone ahead and created a commercial showing off a bunch of the nifty things the tiny little Wi-Fi tablet can do. The goal of advertising is to raise awareness and drive sales, of course, but if anybody sees the ad and ventures over to the Google Play store to pick up a Nexus 7, they'll be greeted with a "Coming Soon" sign -- at least if they want the $250 16GB version.

There was a lot of discussion about whether or not Amazon was making or losing money on each Kindle Fire it sold when the device first launched, and with Google recently introducing its Nexus 7 tablet, many are wondering if Google is in the same boat. Based on a preliminary teardown analysis by IHS iSuppli, it appears Google and Amazon are employing a similar strategy in the 7-inch tablet space, with only about $20 separating each one's respective slate.

We always look forward to these teardowns, in part because it means we don't have to risk destroying our own hardware to peek inside. Another reason is because iFixIt has a way of securing tech toys that aren't available to the general public yet, like Google's recently unveiled Nexus 7 tablet.
