Carl Zeiss optics and a 90-degree field of view are both traits of Logitech's new C930e webcam.

Logitech today announced what it claims is its most advanced webcam for businesses, the "Logitech Webcam C930e" (just C930e from here on out). The C930e touts some industry first features, including an extra wide 90-degree field of view, support for the H.264 SVC and UVC 1.5 video encoding standards, and high-definition digital pan, tilt, and zoom, Logitech says.

One of the things we look forward to every year is San Francisco's annual consumer electronics event called GDGT (pronounced "gadget"). This year's show was utterly packed with vendors and attendees, but that didn't stop us from lugging around a camera (check out our photo gallery of the event) and video camera. We spoke with several vendors about their products, and thankfully none of them were particularly camera shy. On the contrary, they were more than willing to show off their wares.

We're not talking about doing anything inappropriate at your workplace, we're referring to Logitech's three new touch-friendly peripherals for Windows 8, including the Logitech Wireless Rechargeable Touchpad T650, Logitech Touch Mouse T620, and Logitech Zone Touch Mouse T400.
