While Kickstarter sounds like an indie game developers dream come true, many games don't end up reaching their goals. That's why we thought we would pay tribute to the 15 titles that were able to break the one million dollar barrier. Not only did all of these games raise more than $1 million, but many of them even doubled and sometimes even tripled their crowd-funding goals.
At PAX East, indie games booths often lack the flair and sheer bombast of the imposing fortresses that the AAA games inhabit. But venture inside and you’ll often find games that boast more sheer imagination and passion than what major studios are producing. We took it upon ourselves to dive headfirst into the bass-booming, fanboy-shrieking, awesome-stuff-riddled show floor to find the coolest indie games.
