Another day, another pair of new AMD Radeon HD graphics cards. Didn't we just say that yesterday? In another fine example of how quickly things move in today's age, several companies unleashed a smorgasbord of new AMD Radeon cards today and made our previous statements obsolete. How many cards constitute a smorgasbord? Seven, by our count, and the good news is that most of the new releases are higher-end models.
HIS must have figured it wasn't enough to simply squeeze 2GB of DDR3 memory on a Radeon HD 6570 graphics card and call it a day, so it replaced the heatsink/fan assembly with a passive cooler. Not only is this half-height card toting the most memory of any HD 6570 out there, it's also completely silent.
A new generation of GPUs from Nvidia and AMD has hit the streets. Both camps are offering incredible performance and the widest array of features ever before seen in graphics cards. But, inevitably, each side brings its own unique strengths and weaknesses. What better way to determine the performance champ than by letting this season’s new crop of cards duke it out in the various price categories?
