The boutique system builders over at Origin PC are now equipping EON15-S and EON17-S gaming laptops with Nvidia's latest and greatest mobile graphics chip, the GeForce GTX 680M. Based on Nvidia's Kepler architecture, the GeForce GTX 680M is a high-octane GPU with 1344 CUDA cores, 4GB of GDDR5 graphics memory, and full support for Nvidia's battery-friendly Optimus technology.
Not all boutique system builders have the stomach to overclock, let alone selling a system that's been pushed to 5.7GHz. Not only is Origin PC boosting its top-tier factory overclock option on its Genesis desktop line, but it will be backed by lifetime 24/7 technical support for no additional cost, a change in support policy that applies to all Origin PC desktops and laptops.
Everyone remembers that famous scene from Top Gun when Maverick, then Goose, says, "I feel the need...the need for speed!, but it's not too difficult to picture that same line being belted out from within Origin PC's labs. This boutique system vendor definitely has a need for speed, and to prove it, the company just announced the availability of overclocked processors in its EON17-S laptop line. Just any ol' overclock, either, but up to 4.5GHz with Turbo Boost.
