Jonathan '-=SpH!Nx=-' Garlit isn't a professional modder, but we're convinced that he's got potential. He's a die-hard fan of Dota, but with a son on the way he's giving up the game to become a full-time father. The DotaBox is a memento that represents seven years and countless hours of Dota matches. Jonathan says he wanted something to commemorate his favorite game and we think he did it justice. Enough that we're happy to make it our July Rig of the Month.

Dota 2 is one of the most competitive and popular online games today. While Valve’s complex strategy game may sound intimidating to someone unfamiliar with the massive online battle arena (MOBA) genre, the goals of the game are fairly straightforward: Two teams of five players are engaged in a territorial tug of war and the ultimate goal of each match is to destroy the enemy base. While the premise is relatively simple, the depth and skilled required to master the game has captivated millions around the world.
Gaming peripheral maker SteelSeries has teamed up with Valve, developer of Dota 2 and creator of The International Tournament, to announce the "Siberia v2 Illuminated Gaming Headset Dota 2 Special Edition" and two new SteelSeries QcK+ mousepads featuring artwork from the game. Starting with the headset, gamers will receive an exclusive in-game item, Scythe of Vyse for Nature's Prophet.
Gaming social network Raptr, which has over the past few years published yearly lists of the most popular games based on its users’ gaming habits, last month began doing so on a monthly basis. Earlier this week, it published the second such monthly list of “most played games.”
