I still have a couple games I haven't played from the winter sale so I'm trying to be good but some of the prices are just to good to pass up.

So far I've picked up Just Cause 2, Tomb Raider, Deus Ex Human Revolution, and the Psycho and Creature Slaughterdome packs for Borderlands 2, additionally I picked up Crysis 3 on Amazon for $17.

I'm debating picking up Dishonored, but I can't decide. I enjoyed Assassin's Creed for a few hours and after that the repetition drove me away so I'm not sure if Dishonored would be more of the same.

dishonored is good.

its starts a little slow, and the mechanics take some getting used to, but the atmophere, acting, and art style are exceptional.

Thanks for the input, I broke down and grabbed it, and it's DLC.

Some of these community votes are driving me INSANE, people constantly vote for the items that were on better sales two days ago instead of things that haven't been on sale yet.

Sorry needed to vent a little. lol!

The Mac

yeah, they havent picked anything ive voted for yet.

Hopefully my luck will change with strike suit zero...

Things have really slowed down since the first day. They seem to be scraping the bottom of the barrel at this point, while skipping over some fantastic franchises.

Thank you :). I still can't believe how amazing the deals are and how much the mods the community make are amazing.

I've been waiting for Dishonored since last year and am really glad it's finally on sale (just picked it up and the only story-related DLC today). I've been pretty reserved with my money, I only bought games I know I'll play between now and the end of the year... and still the money's racking up.

The DLC is a disappointment as it ends on a clffhanger and is part of a proposed set of DLC :(

I think that this price point is about what Dishonored is worth. I enjoyed it but I wouldn't say that it is worth more than $30.

Watch out for the blatant, ham-fisted moralizing in the game though.

For what it's worth the Steam forums (not discussions) was hacked last night which is why they're currently down, not because of "planned maintenance".

There was a thread about it on the Discussions Forums but it was quickly locked and swept under the rug.

Remember Me has gotten some awful reviews. I wanted it, too, before I read the reviews.

avatar

The Mac

yeah, they said its on rails, and the fighting mechanics are lame.

The acting, atmosphere, and music are supposed to be exceptional however.

As soon as it goes under $20, ill grab it.

I *still* have games I bought 2 or 3 years ago during a steam sale that I haven't played yet. So far, I've managed to ignore this sale so as not make the problem even worse.

I really need to buy a gaming laptop and bring it in to work to play those games.

I build for the first time my own PC about 2 years ago but didn't care much about steam because I was gaming on my xbox 360. My xbox died not so long ago for the fourth time so I started gaming on my pc and found it so much better it was unbelievable. So now with the steam sale I can finnaly start to have some game on my PC. (Sorry if the English is bad as it is not my first language.)

Welcome to the immensely superior world of PC gaming. Steam has been our savior (with all her imperfections and niggling inconveniences). She's opened the door for competitors such as greenmangaming and GOG, and has served to be an exceptionally affordable means of gaming without resorting to piracy.

I wonder if Steam actually has driven down PC gaming piracy?
