Why does every new gadget or gimmic have to an i in the name. reminds me of when winxp came out there was a slew of products with xp in their name.

Alas these prices are without VAT and shipping, plus the products don't exist yet (due to ship by the end of November, says their website). When you add all these up you end up with the sum that can get you cheap x86-based PC today, which will be far more powerful than the 1 GHz Freescale Cortex A9 ... so I predict a glorious fail for these guys.

They ought to aim higher with their SoC choice and actually have a product rather than vaporware.

I really like these things just based on the design alone. However, without GPIO, it doesn't do me much good as a Pi replacement. I would probably use it in tandem with a R-Pi and use it as a backbone for field IO from the Pi.
