If you are not gaming or creating video content you don't really need a lot of disk space. Faster storage would be more handy to me.

20TB? Makes the days of using "Stacker" to nearly double the capacity of the 10MB hard drive on my first x86 computer(a Fujitech Jumbo 8086) seem depressingly distant...

"With nearly 7 billion inhabitants on earth we are creating an astounding 2.7 zettabytes of data a year and as such are rapidly approaching the physical limits of how much can be written on a single conventional hard disk drive,"

Approaching? I don't know about you guys but I long ago reached the physical limits of how much can be written on a single conventional hard disk drive. Windows Explorer's "insufficient space on drive" nagging will back me up on this.

Also, hard drives don't have that much surface area so writing much _on_ them would take a very fine-pointed sharpee indeed. ;)

I trust access speeds will continue to increase as well as capacity?

Thankfully with Netflix offering so much for such a low price, I find myself deleting a lot of media off of my hard drives lately.

Netflix's streaming quality is so bad that I had to deep-six it.

I too deleted some media and I wish I hadn't as I discovered that streaming Netflix on my 1080 display looked significantly worse than upscaling a DVD.

I wouldn't mind some larger drives to store all of my data, nor would I mind seeing hybrid hard drive tech advance.
