I really wish Samsung announced this 1 day before the 5c/5s release :)

I wonder if this is Samsung being snarky toward Apple because they were found to be copying their designs.

Aww man, I was really looking forward to teasing Apple fans.

Thanks Samsung.

Wait, let me make some popcorn and charge my Symbian Nokia to film all that. This is going to be MAJESTIC!!!!1!

I can't stop saying "Gold is Best!"

Samsung really has no self respect, they so fervently try to copy the competition that they fail to set themselves apart from them. Perhaps Apple is right to sue Samsung at every turn even when it's unmerited. I remember when I got my first Samsung galaxy phone, I thought that the feel of the interface was very similar to my iPhone but with all the android goodness.

Right, because nobody ever made a gold colored phone before, and that's obviously a patentable color, and there's no way that its possible that with two product announcements this close together both companies were working on the similar color schemes at the same time. Nope, it's obvious that Samsung just copied Apple's colors because that's the only way they can compete even though Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy SIV already blow the doors off the iPhone 5s.

Yeah I guess it's just a coincidence, just like when Sony released a waterproof device and Samsung just happened to do the same thing shortly after. It's obviously just a huge coincidence.... You Samsung fans are just as bad as the iPhone fans lol

MaximumMike

Ya, because everyone knows that R & D happens in 2 weeks. Sometimes there's no conspiracy. Ever think of that?

avatar

No one said anything about two weeks, it's just obvious to any rational mind the strategy Samsung is using. Wether it bothers you is up to you but to deny it makes you irrational.

avatar

MaximumMike

Ummm... nobody had to say anything about two weeks. The iPhone 5s announcement was on September 10th, pretty much 2 weeks ago. So, if Samsung was really copying Apple as you insist, that's all the time they would have had to R & D a gold Galaxy SIV... derrr.

Any rational mind would realize that Samsung has been working on this longer than 2 weeks. To think otherwise would be... well you know.

Do you really think it takes 2 weeks to Photoshop the pictures of the phone to have gold color borders? They'll have plenty more time to manufacture and release the actual phones.

MaximumMike

ROFL. Like I said, not everything is a conspiracy. Without any proof, I'll take the more plausible explanation over the nutty conspiracy one.

Who cares! Seems like Apple pastelized its entire 5C color lineup based on Nokia Lumias anyways. Don't even get me started on IOS 7's new features.

Besides, that gold scheme S4 coupled with that wallpaper (I wish it was hexagons instead) screams "I'm a badass hanzer!" lol.

Nokia Oro released 2011. Perhaps Apple copied Nokia.

avatar

Damnlogin

The Nokia Oro wasn't gold colored though. It was pure 18ct gold plated with a sapphire crystal screen. Too bad it ran on a crappy version of Symbian.

I like the look of the Gold Brown.

But doesn't Apple have (or think they have) a copyright on "gold" ?
