I just put in my pre-order for this game last week. However, I'm probably gonna hold off on getting any DLC until they release a full package during a 75% off Steam sale (I basically did the same thing for SR3).

Last GTA game I played was San Andreas, so I can't speak for the quality of GTA IV. Regardless, to my eyes Saint's Row looks like the dumbest parts of GTA turned into a game. I, for one, don't appreciate the emphasis on sandbox play, not when it comes at the expense of character or story. Killing strangers with a giant dildo may have entertained me when I was 15, but now I'd just get bored with it in short order.

Oh, and the graphics are ass.

Yes.

GTA V or GTF O.

Saints Row has always been a semi-passable knockoff of the real thing...replete with shittier graphics.

I'll take the slightly less realistic graphics in exchange for the amazing performance and tight controls SR offered. Rockstar seems utterly incapable of producing well-optimized games, the driving sequences SUCK for a game centered around automobiles, and the control schemes are the worst I've ever seen (flying in one game is intuitive, it's darn near impossible in the other). GTA doesn't even bother to license quality tunes anymore.

Actually they're pretty much completely different games now. Besides, I preferred SR3 to GTAIV. IV was so fucking drab and melodramatic, I was bored by it pretty quickly. SR3 was a nice change of pace. I have high hopes for GTAV though, based on the trailers. It's looking really damn good.

Volition, I love you, but when you're planning DLC before the game is even out you start to lose me.

I will not pre-order your game nor will I get a season pass. You've lost this customer until SR4 comes out with its "complete edition" or whatever you call the full version with all the DLC.

Wise words. This whole trend of paying for games that aren't even suitable for review is obnoxious.
