Rumor: Verizon to Launch LTE Network on November 15

With the rumor mills buzzing with talk of the iPhone finally coming to Verizon , it is difficult to overlook the fact that the carrier has yet to upgrade its network to 4G. According to tech blog Boy Genius Report , Verizon plans to roll out its LTE (Long Term Evolution) network in 25 cities on November 15, 2010, with 4G devices set to follow a few days later on Black Friday (November 26).

Even though BGR received the tip from a new source, it feels “we have very good reason to believe” the tipster. It went on to add that while tiered data plans would replace the current pricing scheme, the carrier would not be charging a premium for its 4G services (a la Sprint).
