Ummm, so what?? This is supposed to be news. I don't want to flame out the posts, but can you please report on real news here. I bought legit full version copies of all my copies of Windows 8 Pro. In fact, I don't know one person that has the Preview version of Windows 8. Nothing to see here...move along, move along...

Now you do (sort of). I use the 8.1 Preview, but it's on a VM on my second drive where I test OSes and software. I've kept it on there to toy with after I updated my HTPC to 8.1 (used the preview to see if it was worth the update for the actual system)

BREAKING NEWS! Windows 8.2 aka 'Threshold' will come with the native Start Menu (yes, i mean it seriously) back. The Start menu will appear where the Start Button is. Also, the user now can launch Metro Apps from the Desktop. That's all for now, more details coming soon.

All you h8rs can rejoice.

Cons: 8.2 will be released in Spring 2015. It'll take a while.

stick with whatever OS you have now.

Convoluted to say the least. 8.0 to 8.1 is OK but 8.1 preview to 8.1 is NOT OK. 8.1 Pro needs its own license and costs more than Win 8. And to get an ISO of win 8.1 Pro to install, you cannot use the license number from a legitimate copy of Win 8.0 Pro. Y'follow?
