I like the feel of the 360 controller anyways. Don't know about Xbone and PS4 yet though. And actually speaking of this I finally bought a 360 wireless adaptor for my PC so I get into that Steam hardware beta. Haha.

What I love is when people (gamers and bloggers) refer to "Core Gamers" in their arguments, as if Core gamers were one united group.
Lock ten of these Core gamers in a room and only 3 would come out. Just today I seen Sony fans fighting over Sony's camera. Apparently, any difference of opinion makes you sub-human and desiring of no respect.

Welcome to the human race.

Can't wait to see the eventual head to head to head with this, xbox one controller, steam controller and the old xbox controller.

Which is the best for PC gaming?

That's easy...keyboard and mouse...duh!

Too true.

...For FPS and RTS only. Everything else is better with a controller.

Another middle-finger salute to Microsoft.

Explain how.

I've been in the market for a good controller that didn't cost a ridiculous price, was painless to set up, and come with crap I didn't need, since I've already got a bluetooth module built-in. (The last part ruled out the XBox 360 controller, since the wireless one required an external dongle for PC's to play.) This will probably satisfy all but one of my needs, since my newest game currently is Republic Commando, and most are either PS2/PS3 or emulated games that do better in a PS controller setup. Let's see what the prices are for these controllers once they come out, because that could determine if I wait for Microsoft's solution instead...

I'm still out on which next-gen console my family's getting. The fact that PS4's controller will work with PC isn't a factor in my decision. A 360 controller does just fine when I want to use a gamepad on PC games.

I agree. I would also add that most games will be made for XBOX game pad support and not PS4. So, that touch pad and other PS4 exclusive buttons will be useless.

because of this alone i might play PC games. I will be buying a PS4. But i always hated using the KB for games. I guess im just to use to having a limit of 10 button options vs 108 keys+macros.

Awesome. I currently use a DS3 for most of my PC games. Looking forward to using a DS4.

I prefer the Xbox 360 controller myself. Are you using some third party software to get the DS3 working on your PC?

I cannot stand the 360 controller personally. But yes, I use Motioninjoy. It works just fine for me and it has a option to trick your PC into thinking the DS3 is a Xbox controller for those certain games that only support Xbox controllers for alternate input.

I agree - I think the resistance on the LS and RS are too stiff. I notice it a lot when I play an FPS. Instead of an even-paced 180 degree turn, it starts slow and then whips around. Not a fan.

I didn't like Motionjoy for using the DS3 on the PC. It crashed my system several times and it's a major pain to completely uninstall. I used Scarlet Crush's Dual Shock 3 SCP Bluetooth Driver - Version:1.0.0.103 to get the DS3 to work on my PC. It works over bluetooth or USB.
