Who is going to pay for all of this and why should they, when a can of Play-doh is cheaper and more beneficial?

Where will this go besides the most expensive daycare centers ever or the wimpiest tech ed/shop classroom ever?

Why ostracize potential customers? There should be an android app for this. The entry price for Android devices is much lower than it is for iOS devices. And since they are trying to introduce these to schools and stay within budget constraints, Android is a viable option.

Also, I would say that the appeal to things that are open, can be tinkered with, or are DIY is much stronger among the owners of Android devices.

Other than that, I think this is an awesome idea.

I had actually asked Mission Street Manufacturing about Android support and here's what they told me:

"For now we are only developing our apps for iOS. This is simply because we do not have the resources to develop a great user experience for both platforms at the same time, and iPad is the leading platform in schools in the United States. In the future we would love to support Android, but we have to set plans to begin that project."

Thanks for the feedback, Paul.

Hey.That_Dude

This is being marketed toward schools. The majority of which, whom have tablets, have iPads. They are hitting their market square on the nose. Android development shouldn't take too long and might be an extended goal that they aren't vocal about because it doesn't touch their entry market.

So this is why my county's school system has a budget >$1 billion but still pays teachers a pittance, has shortages of _real_ supplies, has failing infrastructure and a lack of true achievement?

Glad to know that we're blowing it all on asinine toys. A voucher system can't happen soon enough.

Hey.That_Dude

I have a sneaky suspicion that the voucher system will only screw it up more. But, you're welcome to try it out instead of trying to address the problems already there.
