The wise guys and gals over at Thermaltake rolled out a total of seven new "Smart" series power supplies. Three of them are modular, including 450W, 550W, and 650W models, and the other four are wired and include 430W, 530W, 630W, and 730W models. Modular or not, each Smart unit boasts features to help you "outsmart your bills," Thermaltake claims.
A high quality Japanese main capacitor is one of the bullet points on the modular models. All three feature a single +12V rail design, flat modular cables that are easier to route and tuck out of the way than rounded cables, an ultra quiet 140mm fan with intelligent RPM control, and 80 Plus Bronze certification.
The non-modular units feature double-forward switching circuitry that offers low power loss and high reliability, according to Thermaltake. There's no mention of a Japanese-made main capacitor, but the wired models do sport an 80 Plus Bronze sticker and single +12V rails. The cooling fan is a little smaller at 120mm.
