Nvidia's latest drivers boost performance by up to 38 percent.
Fresh out of the oven and topped with WHQL certification is Nvidia's new 310.70 driver package for Windows. Nvidia's latest drivers deliver big performance gains in some situations, including up to 38 percent better framerates in Far Cry 3 (for GeForce GTX 680 graphics card owners). It also serves up double-digit percentage gains in several other titles, according to the release highlights.
If you own a GeForce GTX 680 graphics card, you can expect up to 26 percent better performance in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, up to 16 percent in Battlefield 3, up to 18 percent in Assassin's Creed III, up to 9 percent in Skyrim, up to 6 percent in Medal of Honor: Warfighter, StarCraft II, Dragon Age II, and Batman: Arkham city, and up to 5 percent in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.
Performance gains aren't limited to the GTX 680, they're just the most pronounced for that card. In addition, Nvidia updated and added several SLI profiles and 3D Vision profiles, and squashed some minor bugs.
