Over the weekend, Sony refreshed its VAIO S Series family with the addition of the full HD 15.5-inch Sony VAIO and the 13.3-inch VAIO SA. The two models, which have arrived well in time for the holidays, were announced at the end of August. Both models start at $999 and feature almost identical specs. As mentioned above, the SE features a full HD display. On the other hand, the display on the smaller SA has a resolution of 1600x900. The basic model of the 15.5-inch SE comes with AMD Radeon HD 6470M (512MB) hybrid graphics. However, it can also be configured with a Radeon HD 6630 hybrid GPU with 1GB VRAM, which is the only graphics option available with the SA. The SE and the SA weigh 3.65 lbs and 4.4 lbs, respectively.
