Windows Phone users will be happy to know that Microsoft has announced the 7.5 update (aka Mango) will be heading to phones starting today. Users will be alerted to the update's availability by a notification appearing on their phone, and will be directed to connect their device to their PC to install the update. Microsoft has stated that all Windows Phone devices will receive the 7.5 update, though some device-specific updates may be slightly delayed.
Mango marks the first major update to the mobile platform that Microsoft launched last year. Update features include Multitasking support, customizable ringtones, an upgraded web browser based on Internet Explorer 9, Twitter and LinkedIn integration, and hundreds of other features.
