Lenovo today added half a dozen new ThinkPad laptops to its lineup. These include the T420S, T420, T520, L420, L520, and W520, all of which are aimed at business professionals in some specific way. Lenovo says they're all built upon a platform of new Lenovo innovations, such as video and voice calling, smart PC features for power and performance management, all-day battery life, enterprise management, etc.
The T420s stands small as a sub four pound ultra-thin and supposedly speeds up boot time 30 percent with Lenovo Enhanced Experience 2.0, which Lenovo describes as having optimized system files, processes, and hardware settings for quicker boot and shutdown times. Lenovo's also pitching up to 30 hours of runtime here, a claim based on running a standard 9-cell battery and optional 9-cell slice battery.
All of Lenovo's new laptops include a variety of technologies for enhanced video and voice conferencing. These run the gamut from Private Chat and Conference Call microphone modes (noise cancelling and 360 degrees of audio capture, respectively), to keyboard noise suppression technology so callers don't hear you clacking away.
Availability kicks off in March with prices ranging from $719 to $1329.
