The Voyager Air is Corsair's first all-in-one wireless mobile drive.
A few years ago, you could count on Corsair to make a splash at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) with cases, cooling products, and power supplies, to name a few products. Fast forward to today and it's a different landscape, though arguably no less interesting. Among the products Corsair is trotting out at CES this time around is the Voyager Air, an all-in-one wireless mobile drive that combines the functions of a home network attached storage (NAS) device, USB drive, and wireless hub.
It holds up to 1TB of capacity and features a rechargeable battery, Wi-Fi connectivity, an Ethernet port, and USB 3.0 support. Any media that's stored on the Voyager Air can be access directly from a PC or Mac, or streamed to Android or iOS devices via a free Corsair app.
The Voyager Air can also be connected to a home network for streaming content to smart TVs, Blu-ray players, game consoles, DVRs, and streaming media boxes, Corsair says. It will ship in early February in 500GB ($180) and 1TB ($220) capacities.
Corsair also announced new Dominator Platinum Light Bar Kits to add a bit of bling to your Dominator Platinum DDR3 memory. Each kit includes two light bars to replace the existing bars on the memory modules, and translucent colored inserts.
That's just the tip of the iceberg. For gamers, Corsair announced a bevy of products, including a Vengeance K95 keyboard (fully mechanical, black anodized aluminum, 18 macro keys, $150 in Spring 2013), Vengeance K95 and K65 mice (higher precision 8200 DPI sensor and rugged switches, $80 for K95 [available now] and $70 for the M65 [late January]), MM600 dual-sided gaming mat ($40, available late January), and Vengeance 2000 software drive update for Dolby 7.1 (available late February).
In addition to all the above, Corsair announced that its Raptor line of PC gaming keyboards, mice, and headsets is now available in the U.S. and Germany, and launched what it claims are the world's first native USB 3.0 flash drives, the Flash Voyager GT Turbo USB 3.0.
Flash Voyager GT Turbo 128GB: $180
Flash Voyager GT Turbo 64GB: $90
Flash Voyager GT Turbo 32GB: $50
The Flash Voyager GT Turbo USB 3.0 drives are housed in sturdy, brushed metal housing with a capless design. They boast read speeds of up to 260MB/s and write speeds of up to 235MB/s.
