Wtih all the recent emphasis on touchscreen computing and space saving designs, all-in-one PCs are suddenly in vogue. AIOs are typically more attractive than traditional desktop PCs and are great for placing in areas where you normally wouldn't have a PC, like in the kitchen or other non home office locations. But one area where AIOs still need to improve is in overall performance. Acer thinks it has it all figured out with its new Aspire Z5761.
The Aspire Z5761 sports a multi-touch 23-inch screen with a 1920x1080 pixel resolution. Equipped Acer's TouchPortal, the Z5761 also boasts a full suite of self-explanatory touch enhanced apps and gadgets, including the TouchBrowser, TouchCam, TouchMusic, TouchPhoto, and TouchVideo.
On the hardware end, the Z5791 features an Intel Core i5 2400s, 2500s, or Core i7 2600s processor, up to 8GB of DDR3-1333 memory, up to 1.5TB of hard drive storage, optional Blu-ray drive, multi-card reader, Nvidia GeForce GT420/435M/440 graphics, built-in TV tuner, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, eight USB 2.0 ports, and Windows 7.
The Aspire Z5761 will be available in early May in the U.K. for around $1,300. No word on when it will ship stateside.
