Time spent updating one’s status is largely wasted, so this bit of streamlining should help me be more productive. -

Because I’m always losing stuff in the infernal black hole in my car known as the gap between my seat and the center console. -

Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 VR II lens mug, $35
Because it’s fun to set it on my desk and then knock it off once in a while to see people freak out. Plus it holds a lot of coffee. -

Transformer USB key, $10
It’s the ultimate incognito bad assery, plus I always buy a USB key and think, “This is it; it’s all I will ever need.” Then something cooler/bigger/smaller comes along. I think with this one it’ll be the final key. Until I can combine five USB keys into a RAID 0 Voltron. -

League of Legends Gift Card, $25
This one might seem odd considering my more expensive requests, but I'm really into the game League of Legends right now. I wish had a press account of some sort so that I could play with all of the characters without having to pay money for them. -

Razer Blade Gaming Laptop, $2500
The Razer Blade gaming laptop would be most welcome, but i'll take any gaming laptop. My personal laptop recently died on me and if I get a new one I'm going to want it to be able to play the latest and greatest games. -

GoPro Hero3 Camcorder, $200
Yes, I'm a total nerd, but I like to occasionally step out in the sun and do some adventure stuff every now and then. From what I've seen of the new GoPro camera, it is the ultimate adventure cam. I mean, check out this youtube video! Stunning. -

Samsung 55'' Class 1080p 120Hz LED HDTV UN55EH6000, $1300
Like with the laptop, I really could use any large HDTV (my current HDTV is only 40 inches!/first world problems). I think this 55-Samsung TV would be a nice replacement. ;) -

Lenovo Yoga, $1000
I want a Lenovo Yoga to use as a kitchen PC. With its 13.1-inch touchscreen in presentation mode, I can pull up recipes or videos or random websites. For anything more extensive, a real keyboard awaits. It’s light enough to move from one work surface to the next with ease, but still it’s got an ample high-def IPS screen. -

Zojirushi Neuro Fuzzy NS-ZCC10, $180
A rice cooker might seem like a humble gift wish, but we’re talking the Zojirushi Neuro Fuzzy NS-ZCC10. A computer chip runs this squat-body steamer, calculating changing variables, like type of grain or the ambient temperature, and adjusting its cooking action accordingly. Add to that a bevy of buttons for customization and you’ve got a recipe for killer arroz. -

Nike+ FuelBand, $150
After all that rice, I’m going to need to burn some carbs. The Nike+ FuelBand will keep me honest by tracking my every attempt at fitness—steps taken, calories burned, Fuel points earned. I don’t even know what Fuel points are—something about motion being measured on three axis—but i’m raring to start racking ‘em up. The simple rubber cuff will go with any outfit. -

Panasonic TC-P55ST50 HDTV, $1300
I can’t live on rice and running alone—there’s got to be some time set aside for hardcore relaxing, and a brand-new, big-ass HDTV will help me with that. This 55-inch Panasonic plasma display tickles my fancy, but I’ll take any reputable brand that offers comparable size and image quality. -

Deadwood: The Complete Series Blu-ray DVD, $180

Core i7-3930K, $524
First, let me say that I want peace on Earth and goodwill toward carbon-based life forms. But I also want a hexa-core chip such as Intel’s 3.2GHz Core i7-3930. Since it’s LGA2011, I could run it in my video box from December until late next year when Ivy Bridge-E hits. Sure, the new Core i7-3970X would be the ultimate, but hey, it’s also $999 so I’d be happy with an overclocked Core i7-3930K. -

Fenix TK75, $199
I have a thing for flashlights and Fenix’s new 2,600 lumen flashlight is on my short list. It’s compact and will throw light out to 600 meters with its three Cree XM-L U2 bin LEDs. It’s even cheap to run on four 18650 li-ion cells. And yeah, I’m already on the waiting listing for the PD32 Ultimate Edition too, so yeah, I’m a flashlight nerd. Wait, is my wife reading this? -

EOS 1D Mk X, $7000

512GB OCZ Vector SSD, $569
I need a bigger SSD as my primary boot drive and OCZ’s new Vector in its 512GB dinner dress would be perfect for that task. Its 5-year warranty gives me faith, it’ll last long enough until I can replace it with a 1TB SSD and it’s just damned pretty too. -

There isn’t in a more badass looking case out there and it comes with a slew of cable-routing options, tool-less drive bays, and it has an I/O panel with 4 USB 2.0 ports and 1 USB 3.0 port. It's one of the most legit cases out there today. -

HP ZR2740w 27-inch LED Backlit IPS Monitor, $714

Lenovo Y580, $959
My current laptop is an old Lenovo G560 that sports an i3-380m with integrated graphics. The reason I want this laptop is so I can do gaming and photo editing on the go. The Y580 sports a 3630QM i7 CPU and a GTX660M GPU along with 8GB of RAM. -

Logitech Z906 500W 5.1 Speakers, $340
