GDGT 2012, roughly the size of two gymnasiums, was PACKED. The event had roughly 40 different companies showing off their products and giving away free swag to hundreds of rabid tech enthusiasts. ...I'm pretty sure one of these rabid enthusiasts tried to bite me to get to a free t-shirt....

Dolby was showing off their surround sound software technology. The company was also giving out free movie tickets to the CG movie Guardians of the Galaxy downstairs which uses the company's new surround sound speaker technology. In addition, Dolby was also raffling off the surfboard you see here.

Logitech was showing off their keyboard/cover for iPads. Looks a bit like a white Surface, doesn't it?...

Nokia was showing off its newest headphones and Android/Windows Phones.

Microsoft's Outlook.com team, dressed in blue, were showing off the company's new completely-online Outlook email service. Outlook.com offers more synergy between its products which include SkyDrive and Skype. Microsoft hopes to replace Hotmail with this new service which is currently still in beta.

Phones, laptops, and tablets were the talk of the show. Also, there was free alcohol! If you notice in the bottom right hand corner, you'll see our intern Chris Zele on the iPad screen drinking a cold one.

Phorus was showing off its wireless audio system/app which allows Android devices to stream music files from their phones/tablets to remotely-located speakers.

Verizon was giving out free stress balls at its booth. Vendors everywhere were giving away free things (shirts, key chains, etc.) I threw my ball at the back of a random guy's head...
