With Crysis 3, Crytek hopes to make your high-end gaming rig cry much like the original game did. We've been playing a bit of the open beta and can vouch for the game's super pretty visuals. Add a meaty sci-fi campaign on top of a full-fledged multiplayer mode and you've got a shooter worth crying for. -

SimCity

The original build-a-city simulator is back with SimCity (2013). Along with a new 3D graphics engine which makes the franchise look prettier than ever, SimCity will feature an online multiplayer component and finite resources. Gasp! We can't wait to build our cities and defend them from hordes of alien invaders and other dastardly disasters. -

Tomb Raider

This isn't your father's Tomb Raider. Tomb Raider 2013 is a completely new revamp for the series. The graphics look amazing and are much less cartoony this time around. Furthermore, the tone of the game is much more gritty and the game delves into much more mature themes. Plus, this new Lora Croft looks hot…in that dirt-covered, bloody kind of way… -

Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm

When StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty came out in 2010, it had us glued to our seats. The game lived up to the greatness of the 1998 original RTS. We hope the StarCraft II: Heart of the Storm expansion pack follows suit. It's going to offer a new meaty Zerg campaign and new multiplayer units. What's not to love? -

Bioshock Infinite

Moving out from the depths of the dark ocean into the blue skies, BioShock Infinite has players fighting and flying through clouds on zip lines. Originally slated to release last year, BioShock Infinite already immensely impressed us when we saw it at E3 2012. The extra time should only polish what is already a sweet, sweet looking game. -

From the makers of the critically-praised Total War: Shogun 2 RTS, Total War: Rome II takes players to the battlefronts of…well, Rome. Players will be able to expand the Roman Empire as they see fit and will be able to do this with a totally revamped new graphics engine which will make battles look prettier than ever. -

Not much is known about 0x10c, but we do know that it's being billed as an online sandbox science-fiction game being made by Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson. Considering Minecraft is one of the best PC games ever made, we can't wait to get our hands on this promising indie title. -

Amnesia: The Dark Descent is arguably the scariest game of all time. Its sequel, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, aims to up the scares. Being developed by thechineseroom, the makers of the haunting classic "Dear Esther," the game is sure to make us wet our pants...again. -

Company of Heroes 2

When the original Company of Heroes came out in 2006, it revolutionized the RTS genre. Out went the stringent base management and in went the extremely tactical combat. Company of Heroes 2 hopes to take this style of gameplay and improve it. The sequel will use the new Essence 3.0 engine to make battles look more beautiful than ever. -

While Valve's popular MOBA has been in open beta testing since 2012, it's still not officially released yet. A lesser developer would have already released the very good game by now but Valve is constantly adding new characters, modes, and tweaks. We can't wait to see what the released product looks like. -

Double Fine Adventure

While we don't know too much about Double Fine Adventure(working title), we do know that it is being created by legendary game designer Tim Schafer (Grim Fandango and Psychonauts). The title has become famous for being able to become the highest-backed crowd funded project from Kickstarter at the time of its inception. -

Elder Scrolls Online

If there's one game series that would work great in an MMO setting, it would be The Elder Scrolls. The rich and lush universe is just begging to play be played online with other players. We can't wait to explore the world of Tamriel with our friends online later this year. -

GTA V
Release date: TBA
While GTA V isn't officially confirmed the PC as of yet, with Rockstar's consistent track record of porting the series over to the platform coupled with the constant rumors of a PC version, we feel safe enough to put this on our list. At least, we hope it comes over as GTA IV, with its various graphical mods, was arguably the best version of the game.
