imagine 4-way cross-fire with a pair of these.

It's AMD based...Wut?

Some of you out there were looking for something to keep your coffee warm in the morning. now you have it available and act like it's a bad thing...

If this is going to be even remotely viable, those GPU's have got to be nerfed or the card is going to require some more cooling oomph than the pictures suggest.

They're releasing this at the wrong time, Winter is over now.

I'm sorry, but I can't let this go:

I might HAVE expected hell would freeze over before you'd ever see a graphics card with the AUDACITY to demand four...

I will admit the first error is a misunderstanding of what we're actually saying because of the shortcuts we use when talking (might've). But the second is a simple spell check.

Twice the Power connectors for twice the GPUs?

Ridiculous!
4! 4 freakin 8-pin. Probably need like at least 900 watt PSU

avatar

The Mac

umm....no

more like 1k, bare minimum.

Not really. I have a Corsair TX750W power supply and it comes with 4x8 pin PCI-E plugs. It's pretty standard on PSUs now. Hell, it's been standard for years now.

The Mac

Not a chance you will be able to drive this and an OCed CPU with a 750.

pretty much, I think even the reference card sucks down close to a grand of wattage by itself... so overclocking it and strapping on some over-sized fans? This is for those people who have the giant super-atx cases with slots for two or more power supplies and a small nuclear plant running in their basement.

Reference card? The only 295x2 I've seen reviewed consumes <500W.
