Samsung's RAPID and magician is damn fast. This drive has some catching up to do. By the time it comes out RAPID 2 or whatever will be out, heh.

I do find it funny however, that the M6P is a no show on the product page, but is only mentioned in a press release.

DRAM caches? I think that would be awesome to have as an upgradable option on the drive itself. Getting ready to go from 1866 to 2100 in your rig? Why waste those old sticks by throwing them out when you can just pull them and drop them into the SSD?

Is this worth upgrading to, I currently have an M5PX in my laptop which I had originally purchased for my desktop which I then sold a few months later.

This laptop originally had 2 750MB HDDs, only using 1 now as the storage drive, plan on upgrading it to a 2TB HDD.

My other laptop has a 1TB SSHD, but also has a spot for mSATA SSD, so I am thinking of putting an mSATA SSD in it, and upgrading the 1TB to 2TB.

Any pure SSD is a worthy upgrade for any computer. If Samsung makes a a mSATA drive with RAPID in it, definitely get that first (who knows when or if this will be released, if ever and at what cost?) Otherwise, any mSATA SSD on sale will do. The speed is not as important due to the limitations of the laptops CPU speeds, memory size, and hard drive speeds.

This laptop that I am writing this on is where I put my M5PX, it's a 3rd gen Core i7, my other laptop -- which has two GeForce 750Ms -- is a shitty Core i5.
