Thrilled at the prospect of the Paradise desk launch! Can't wait to see what the available options will be. Would look at tarting the desk up before it's projected January 2014 delivery.

It's about time someone paid attention to 21st century furnature.
Something later to consider would be furnature with a more old fashioned look (antique) rather than contemporary.
But this is a good start!

Looks great, but the white sockets don't really match the overall look. Also, I'm not too keen on the forward usb plugs on top of the desk, right at the corner where an accidental hand swipe could break the connectors.

Another issue to be aware of would be accidental liquid spillage. That slot right behind the keyboard would suck all the liquid in there like a vortex, also the texture top looks like a dust magnet.

But for $400, all the negative nancy negativity goes right out the window. That's a very nice looking desk for that price.

Lastly, I would have to replace that Air Force emblem with a Navy Anchor. :)

Looks excellent and very promising. Not nearly as mental or expensive as Red Harbinger. Given that that's an actual case/desk, its nice to see and actually gaming desk that isn't a case or just a one-off mod. I threw my money wad into their hat. Now I just hope they come thru. As for flexibility, from what David Wrobel told me when I messaged him the flexibility of the desk increases with the price. The shape, size, height, and layout of the desk can all be changed depending on which one you order. The basic desk is what you see he and it's well....basic. But still can be outfitted with a number of accessories(from what they say the list is close to being finalized). It will retail for $399. The limited edition will retail for $899 and can be adjusted for whatever setup/rig you have. The custom edition which will retail for $1699 is completely custom, which means they do it how you want it. I even asked if that meant they could make an L shaped desk and they said absolutely. Now the retail prices are higher than the required pledges to get one of the desks. donations for the basic edition are $349, limited edition is $699, and custom is $1399. Overall I'm optimistic and can't wait for my badass new desk.

Just me or did they "Borrow" the Airforce logo a little bit?

Yeah I caught that too, but it works

Whew, you can put the computer on the outside as well. That will help with those with tall cases. I like the idea. Looks like you could throw 3 monitors on there as well so that's nice. I think it's a good idea. :)

Wow.
One thing I always wanted to do is add a AC unit to a desk with venting tubes to the Tower... Maybe 2.0 of desk? Nice!

This is awesome, desks are highly underrated for PC users...

Most desks are completely missing a good spot to put the PC itself, in a cabinet? Are you serious?

Then once you put the PC on top of the desk or off to one side, you've got to route cables.

Nothing says unboxing pr0n like having to crawl under your desk to route cables so you can plug in that new gadget.

cool!!! Very nice!!! Hopefully more configurations will be available for your product, like a corner, u-shaped, or an L-shaped design. I prefer a desk that supports 5.1 surround speakers and multiable monitors.

Yeah I had an idea like this too. I like their design, though I think it would be better to build the mobo tray into the desk itself, like a drawer. You could then use the entire tabletop for ventilation, heat dissapation, etc. In the winter, the heat could be vented to the floor to warm your feet.

also you're still going to get tons of cable hanging down the back. A simple cable catching tray across the back midway down from the top of the desk would alleviate this as well.

The table top should have a lid to lift up and place the keyboard in when not in use to protect it, and a built in mousepad surface that can do NF recharging of the battery.

Finally, I don't know about anyone else, but I'd love a few more drawers over a cup holder.

I love the idea, and their fabrication is better than what I had thought of, but they're not thinking far enough outside the box.

ps when someone steals my ideas and builds my computer table, at least give me an honorable mention (and maybe a desk).

This is a good idea, and I didn't go look up the price, but if I were going to drop a lot of money on a nice desk I think I would just build my own. This guy obviously built a desk just the way he liked it, but I would want my materials, my specifications, my colors, my measurements, etc....

One feature that I did not see is adjustablity. People are different sizes and shapes and so are computers & accessories. Being able to adjust things just so would add a lot to this idea.

Glad to see he is doing well with the project though. I would love to see variations on his theme.

well, obviously if you can do better, then do it yourself. Unfortunately not everybody is talented that way. Give me a piece of wood and ask me to build a cup and I'll give you something resembling a scrambled egg.

For those of us without DIY abilities, this is interesting. Still, need to see the price. Also, kickstarter is just that, a kickstart. If successful then the creator can make a company out of it, making more variations, models, colors, etc.

After reading the kickstarter, the desk will retail for US $399 but there is an early bird kickstarter level that will get you the desk for US $319
