About HP's VooDoo PC first...

http://www.resellerratings.com/store/VoodooPC

They had massive build issues. That link (by far) is just one of many, many examples. Nothing quite like a machine that is built to fail without being repaired. Add to that, almost all of their systems had issues with needing continual reboots, build problems that were somehow mysterious and beyond repair. A majority of VooDoo's did not last even to the one year point.

As for Origin... No Alienware out there can compare to Origin. We're almost seeing history repeat itself.

I still have a working Alienware 9700m Pre-Dell. Would that work?

No, the bonus in this is that you are no longer stuck with a dell!!
Anything is better than owning an alienware!
M17x R1...so speaking from experience.

I'm pretty sure Origin charges just as much, if not more. The only consolation prize is the lifetime warranty, which I doubt really means "if it breaks, we replace it" and more like "We'll troubleshoot it for you for free and tell you to buy a new one"

More of a ripoff than Alienware? Geez, that's embarrassing.
