Just got a 128GB Samsung 840 Pro / 128GB

3 to 3.5 second average boot time with a fresh copy of XP
6 seconds with Windows 8.1 (32-bit)
9 second XP drive backup in acronis
11 second XP restore time
248MB/sec average writes
262MB/sec average read speed

not bad for a SATA 2 Port on a 35 Watt core i3
2.6Ghz dualcore Sandy Bridge

My Vertex 4, which entered and exited the market in seemingly the same instant, feels inferior.

Maybe I could RAID 2 vectors for my games/large programs and free up this Vertex for the OS and smaller programs. Or I guess I could go try some Samsung SSDs but I'm not sure I'm ready for that yet.

I wish you guys would post MINIMUM speeds for 128GB SSD's and MAXIMUM speeds for 256GB and above

You make it sound like "up to 530MB/sec write" is for the 120GB SSD as well

IS IT REALLY?

120GB Vector 150 SSD

Sequential Write = 450MB/sec
4K Random Reads = 80,000 IOPS
4K Random Writes = 95,000 IOPS
Steady State 4K Random Write = 12K IOPS

AnandTech ROCKS!
