Nexus 4 Stock Returning to Google Play Later Today

It's almost as if Google played a cruel joke on smartphone shoppers when it released the Nexus 4 . The unlocked device delivers an unadulterated Android 4.2 Jelly Bean experience with a potent feature-set and very reasonable price tag, the only problem being there wasn't enough stock to fulfill demand. Both the 8GB ($299) and 16GB ($349) sold out super quick on Google Play, but don't fret, more stock is coming.

Google sent out an email this morning giving a heads up that the Nexus 4 will be in-stock and available to purchase later today. According to the email, you'll be able to order yours starting at 12:00 PM Pacific Time (3:00 PM Eastern Time).

What Google didn't say is how much stock it will have on hand, so if you're interested in the Nexus 4, you should probably head over to the product page a few minutes early and give the F5 key a workout.

In case you need a refresher on the specs, the Nexus 4 sports a 4.7-inch IPS display with a 1280x768 resolution (320 ppi), Corning Gorilla Glass 2, quad-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB of RAM, 8GB or 16GB of internal storage, 8MP rear-facing camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, micro USB port, HDMI output, NFC, 802.11n Wi-Fi, 2,100 mAh battery, and Jelly Bean. What it doesn't have is a microSD card slot or a 4G LTE radio.
