This is going to sound like one of those "my step-mom's roommate makes $13.75 a minute selling kidneys to needy transplant recipients, but...

Between the Steam and Amazon sales, I picked up about 20+ games for a little under $100. Some indie games, sure, but also some AAA titles like Tomb Raider ($5), LEGO Marvel ($12), and Injustice ($20). My backlog should last me and my sons all year! (wellllll...until the Summer Sale AT LEAST!)

Recently finished To the Moon, and completed X-Com:Enemy Unknown. I'm also a huge fan of Fate of the World.

I recently acquired a ton of games on Steam due to the sales (not the games everyone else is grabbing, I'm talking King of Fighters XIII, Long Live the Queen, and Giana Sisters). I love me some old-skool fighters, side-scrolling shooters, and classic style platforming action, but it's the Indie intuitive math games (Gratuitous Space Battles, Fate of the World) that really grab me. I love a game I can play between work and have no time limit to finish my turn.

I'm a big, big fan of Steam. Even if they go under some day, I'm pretty sure I'm getting my money's worth.

Uhh, SimCity 4. Just was on sale and I always liked that game. At least no one is shooting at me or trying to bite me.

I re-bought that one just to get rid of the stupid discs. Best game in the series IMO.

What I find even more amazing is the whole service hasn't melted down yet. Or even showing signs of struggling. I remember a few years ago when I bought the games promoted on free weekend and I couldn't play the game until Monday because the licensing servers were dead.

I couldn't buy anything for an entire day due to load issues. Fortunately the pricing on what was in my cart carried over to the next day when everything came back online.

Christmas day they had issues. Left 4 Dead 2 was being given away for free on Christmas which brought the servers down for several hours.

I had to try go grab L4D2 several times before it finally didn't timeout that day.

Ahh no wonder it was lagging so much.

Yeah, it wasn't really widespread though, although i will say this morning when i was trying to chat with one of my buddies Steam told me that Friends was offline and would be available soon.
