NEC is getting ready to drop its second MultiSync EA Series monitor on the U.S. market this month, the EA243WM. It's a 24-inch Full HD (1920x1200) TN panel with LED backlighting that takes aim at high-performance enterprise users with a slim profile, lightweight design, and increased power savings compared to previous models. There's a Customize Setting that allows IT admins to set and restore specific monitor settings with a single touch.

"The next generation MultiSync EA Series is an answer for our corporate clients that asked for HDMI connectivity, user-friendly control, and increased height adjustment," said Lynn Gu , Product Manager at NEC Display Solutions. "Our EA243WM is a solution to these requests with performance-driven design and a full feature set. From smart sensing technology to top environmental certifications that promote social responsibility, this monitor will greatly enhance the computing experience."

Connectivity is served via DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI-D, and VGA, as well as an integrated 4-port USB 2.0 hub. There's a pair of single watt speakers nestled inside, along with integrated cable management, ambient light and human sensors, touch-sensitive on screen display (OSD) controls, and a fully adjustable stand with 130mm height-adjust, tilt, swivel, and pivot.

As for the 16:10 panel itself, it kicks out 250 cd/m2 brightness, 25,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio (1,000:1 typical), 94 pixels per inch, 0.27 pixel pitch, and a 5ms response time. It also supports a technology called ControlSync, which enables synchronized adjustment of up to six displays.

The MultiSync EA243WM will ship this month with an estimated street price of $399 with a 3-year parts and labor warranty.
