Paul Lilly

MSI added another all-in-one (AIO) PC to its Wind Top lineup today, the AE2050. Boasting a 20-inch high-definition 16:9 display (1600x900 resolution) with optional multi-touch panel, the AE2050 swings AMD's way with a dual-core E-350 processor (1.6GHz), AMD A50M chipset, and Radeon HD 6310 discrete graphics.

Other baseline specs include:

  • 2GB DDR3 memory (up to 4GB via 2 slots)
  • 500GB hard drive
  • DVD burner
  • 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi
  • Two 3W stereo speakers with SRS
  • 0.3MB webcam with microphone
  • Rear I/O: four USB 2.0, HDMI-out, 10/100/1000 LAN, Mic-in, Earphone out
  • Side I/O: 6-in-1 card reader, two USB 3.0 ports (one with Super Charger), DC jack
  • Optional TV tuner
  • Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

The AE2050 is built around AMD's Brazos platform, and thanks to the energy efficient APU, MSI says the rig is able to save around 70 percent in energy. Another neat feature is the ability to charge USB devices while the PC is turned off via one of the USB 3.0 ports.
