I love how AMD is trying to reinvent the wheel these days. Ok first we have Mantle which is GLIDE with a new name in 2014, then we have True Audio which is EAX under a new name 2014. What is next? AMD going to come back with PR+ again?

Will this patch take out the Consolitis that I've heard so much about?

Dishonored isn't perfect-it's got a raging case of Consolitis (eg:small levels, invisible walls, low NPC count, low-quality graphics)-but it doesn't have "Press X to not die"-style QTEs where I have to run from dogs.

Will it also take the Christian Bale out of Garrett?

I doubt this will increase resolution unless Mantel can make the frame rate go higher and so you can turn on more AA.

As for TruAudio, I could care less. I have true 5.1 headphones and the speakers have a finite range so how much could I possibly add to that?

i don't see the "benefit" of mantle for single player games. it is a no-brainer for mmorpg and rts titles though as they are cpu bound already.

Yeah, they've never mentioned Mantle on Thief before. I assume they just didn't want to take away from BF4, since they were the official Mantle launch partner.

I'm kinda surprised they did add TrueAudio to BF4 as well, especially since the series has always been known for high quality sound effects.

Yes they have.

Way back in Deecember to be precise.

People were pissed it wasnt available at launch.

My grandkids signed me up for this site and I don't know much about playbox or anything but this guy shouldn't be stealing things.

I didn't know Mantle was going to be included in Thief. All they've feally been hyping is TrueAudio.
