I have to agree with some of the below comments.

I have a K400r, and it's great. It looks pretty similar, actually, though I like some of the changes (e.g. I already remap the F4 shortcut function to close the current window/app). But in the 14 months I've owned it, I've never replaced the 2 AA batteries, so 10 days on a charge doesn't sound that awesome. My Logitech Revue keyboard before that -- which the K400 is based on -- ran the same 2 AA batteries for 2 years before I replaced it with the designed-for-HTPC K400r.

Plus, the K400r is $25 on Amazon (it says K400, but it's the 'r' model). I'm not sure a few design tweaks, backlighting, and an apparently inferior rechargeable battery is worth $75 more. Gauntylgrym is right: $50-60 sounds like a fair starting price.

Shrink this keyboard down to palm size and add an IR blaster or be compatible to the Harmony receiver. This will be the ultimate HTPC remote!

I have a K800 with my HTPC. It's basically the same except it has a numeric keypad instead of a track pad (and the K830 looks a little more compact). I don't do a ton of gaming with it since most of my HTPC-based gaming is using a controller. Still, I've only had to recharge it twice in two years, so battery life is pretty good, probably even with heavy use.

i use the k400 myself, its super compact and still feels decent. Its not rechargeable, but ive never had to replace the batteries.
