Lenovo has come up with a business-ready all-in-one desktop the company figures would make a perfect fit for large businesses, schools, and government workers alike. It's the ThinkCentre M71z , an AIO built around Intel's second generation Core processor family and with interactive touchscreen options and videoconferencing features, like a 2MP built-in webcam and digital array microphone.
Pricing starts at $600, though Lenovo hasn't yet settled on a final spec sheet. What we know so far is that the M71z will ship with a 20-inch display, an Intel Core i processor, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, up to 1TB of hard drive storage or 160GB SSD, DVD burner, Wi-Fi (optional), six USB ports, DisplayPort, and a chassis intrusion switch.
Lenovo says users who opt for the SSD can expect a 15-second bootup time with Lenovo Enhanced Experience 2.0 with RapidBoot . The M71z will ship in October; finalized tech specs "coming soon."
