a 5 drive hardware raid box in raid5 would get you 20tb, and you can have as many as you have USB3/eSata ports.

and theyd take up less space than 6 of these, and youd have parity.

Towerraid TRU TR5UT+ cheap, reliable.

obviously the 5 bay ThunderBolt box would be better with transfer rates, but it doesnt say if they are JBOD and requires software raid.

edit: haven't been able to find a definitive answer if they are hardware raid. Assuming for the moment they are, they still offer no raid5 (parity) which most home users would use for archiving video.
