google.com/tv/ is the new buzz in town. Better than netflix and Apple TV. The next big thing on Internet TV

They're trying to step in the middle of a large scale monopoly game with hardly any influence on the other players. Ideas are all they have in substitute for property.

Cancelled my cable TV last year and embraced OTA signals and Netflix as my primary modes of video entertainment. Throw some bluray movies from the library into the mix and that's a big middle finger for the cable company. Now, if only there were a free alternative to high-speed internet.

Stick to what you know Intel. Hardware and CPU.

It's a bit like saying Google should have stuck with search engines instead of making a smartphone OS. More than a bit.

Cable/satellite providers right now have so much control. If Intel can overcome their efforts to shut it out, we'll have an internet based service with the capability to pick which "channels" we want, instead of bundle packages of dozens of channels out of which you only watch a handful at best.

There is no reason for Intel to quit. The more big players that get on board against the current system, the better for consumers.

This would be something very, very nice for any tech driven family, especially like mine where each family member has a PC, they could watch while working on their PC from anywhere in the house it's perfect!
