That video was great. They should keep the McAfee brand. As he said in that video, he hasn't had any involvement with McAfee in almost 2 decades.

He's like a combination of Duke Nukem and Charlie Sheen...how is that not classic?

Good move. The McAfee name has way too much baggage thanks to its founder.

The John McAfee video still image featured in this story is one of the most over-the-top comedy videos ever.

I don't use their products at home but we're forced to at work. It causes a ton of issues with software development and significantly impacts server performance. For the price paid, this product should not function in any way other than amazing. It doesn't have to be flawless, just justifiably better than freeware.

Agreed about the video. I actually thought it was pretty funny. I guess that doesn't make him any less of a crackhead, but still...

Definitely a step in the right direction.

Next step is to make it so that it actually stops viruses. And the last step would be to make sure it doesn't take over your machine.

McAfee is spyware/malware imo. I don't use that, nor do I use other AV stuff because its always outdated. That, plus I don't download illegal stuff :)

It is funny that Intel has kept them close for so long, kinda makes me wonder what Intel is doing?

You do realize that you don't need to download "illegal stuff" to get an infection.
