No word on RAIT or Supercaps though. Thanks for the thorough coverage.

Can you confirm that Trim has been fixed for SSD's in Raid in Windows 8.1 (Update 1) or is that just another Internet rumor that I made up out of thin air rendering these new SSD's to the catagory of Meh?

I thought it was fixed in driver v12 for both w7 and w8, but it requires Ivy Bridge or newer chipset..

I like the skull design. I may have to go with two of these for my next build instead of Samsung EVO 840s just for how it will look in a Corsair 750D.

Its the graphic from their old SkullTrail motherboards.

"The drives are also supposed to scale well in RAID 0 configurations." unless I very much missed something with the 3 enterprise servers I own, and plenty of other machines ive spent time with, It is very much the raid controller that determines how well arrays scale, not the drive. unless you get into the very top end consumer cards, or medium to high end enterprise cards, your SSD RAID-0 isn't going to scale well beyond 2 drives anyway. There simply isn't enough bandwidth through the RAID SoC usually.

...but are they better than the Samsung Pro series? I think not :P

Have to say, I have been pleased with the performance and reliability of my Intel 520. I will definitely be looking at these in the future.
