HP went and quietly updated its Wi-Fi Mobile Mouse with a more modern design, added a Facebook button, and has now let the new rodent out of its cage. The new X7000 Wi-Fi Touch Mouse sports the same wireless setup as before and syncs up with your computer's built-in wireless receiver, so there are no wires or USB dongles to mess with.
The ergonomics are completely different this time around. HP says it has a sleek, supportive feel and rubber side grip, and it's curved for right-handed users.
It has touch-sensitive scrolling, works on almost any surface surface (HP claims), and has six buttons, one of which is fires up Facebook. As for battery life, HP says it will last twice as long as comparable Bluetooth models with a 9-month battery life.
The X7000 is available now for $60.
