Kind of off-subject, but why do liquid coolers use two discrete hoses vs one that is made up of two bundled together? Would it really cost that much to put a piece of insulating rubber between them and wrap them in plastic?

It's by design. The radiator forces water through one side and out the other. Plus it'd make for less flexible cabling overall.

I guess so. It's just that, aesthetically speaking, two hoses are just...ugh...

Its got to be an April fools Joke.

Negative. Josh Norem got his hands on one and benchmarked it - http://www.maximumpc.com/amd_unleashes_dual-gpu_radeon_r9_295x2

Certainly doesn't mesh with the current AMD aesthetic

That looks like a preproduction sample, looks like someone made that in their basement

no way production models will be that plain looking.

If AMD needs a liquid cooling solution as stock to a dual GPU card, then I have to question their design team on all fronts.

At least when NVIDIA rehashes a GPU, it's improved everywhere, not just performance.

If you have to question them then don't buy it. It's not like they're trying to screw you.

I won't buy it.

But that won't stop me from poking fun at AMD's engineers.

True, they improved the price as well.

2Xish the performance......3X the price....what's not to love. >.<

AFDozerman

Not even. It's about 1.5x

avatar

kevaskous

True fucking story, not even full 2x performance either.

Well it could be an attempt to add value to the product by adding this cooling solution from the factory as it is a popular after market mod many people use. Just trying to boost sales where some people would be timid about adding a water cooling block on an expensive part they just bought.
