I tried it on my Windows 8 tablet and I did not like the touch controls. Trying to play a game like this via a touch screen never feels right to me. I tried on my desktop with a keyboard and mouse and it was much better. Not only were the controls very good, but the game itself is a lot of fun, especially for 7 dollars. It's not worth buying Windows 8 just to get this game, but if you happen to have a system with Windows 8 and you want some fun shoot-em-up action, it's worth a look.

Lauren. even though Pamela`s article is terrific... yesterday I picked up a great Land Rover Range Rover from having made $7720 this - four weeks past and-over, 10/k last month. with-out any question its the most comfortable job Ive ever done. I began this seven months/ago and pretty much immediately started making a nice minimum $82 per hour. , > ---- WEP6.COM

On-screen simulation of a dual stick controller doesn't interest me. However, if a physical controller is supported I will buy this game.

I read somewhere that the Xbox controller will be supported later with an update.

Should have been a 7/10 for making it Windows 8 exclusive. Windows 8 is under the PC platform, so I don't understand why I can't play that game on Windows 7. Absolute BS. All Microsoft cares these days is your goddamn money, just like how they scammed people's money with Office 2013. Evil bastards. Unforgivable!

It's pretty easy to say "fuck Microsoft" by not buying their shit, but still using it.

@ddz49
I used to have legit copies of Windows Vista as well as Office 2007. Every Microsoft product I own these days are pirated. They want to charge online for Xbox? Fine. They want to make everything Xbox exclusive? Fine. They want to scam people with software that looks completely identical to their last? Fine. They want to force people to use their newest garbage? Fine. Do whatever you want Microsoft and continue to try squeezing every bit of money out of everyone. An evil company does not deserve my money (even though some of their products are pretty cool).

Reminds me of Halo 2 and Shadowrun. Both games 'absolutely required' the new capabilities of Vista. Then it turned out that loading on Windows XP was deliberately blocked, and could be enabled with a trivial hack. Not all of us have forgotten that sleazy ploy.

Ahh the joys of the "vista exclusive" games that have to be hacked to run on any other windows platform....

RUSENSITIVESWEETNESS

I have to shake my head at Microsoft's continued exploitation of the Halo series. That they think they can herd customers to their select platform and operating system with yet another installment of a tired franchise betrays their disregard for customers as mere cattle to be manipulated and swindled.

They really need to abandon the idea of building a stockade around their customers and return to doing what they did best.

At the very least, the game should have shipped day one with Windows 8. Microsoft no longer seems capable of that kind of minimal coordination...

Just Sold my 360 best decision I ever made too much Bloom in Halo 4 wrecks the game poor graphic processing in they system always strains peoples eyes.

How much money did you manage to get for a 360?

I can't agree more about the eyestrain. Low draw distance, low detail, low framerate (22 FPS is NOT an acceptable minimum!) and X*720 resolution output...and that was if you were lucky (and not playing Halo 3 lol).

Rift2

Sold it for 170.00 but it was a newer black Matte version. I had only 4 games but man did my eyes hurt after a few Big Team Raganok Halo 4 sessions.

I got screwed on the Hard Drive 250 gig

How about they release the first 4 Halo games with bona fide PC ports, with at least some taking full advantage of DX 11.1 (since no one else seems to be making a game that does), and releasing them for Windows 7 with Steam-or-less DRM (ie:not GFWL)? I'd prefer that.

avatar

Cleaver

Seems like that was the original plan, until they made their Halo 2 port Vista-only GFWL-only. And then they couldn't explain the low sales, so they axed the idea of porting anything else.

Microsoft was just expecting people to put up with their BS back then, which is no different from what they do to gamers today.

I wish they'd followed through as Halo's graphics on the PC put the Xbox's to shame. I'm not the biggest Halo fan but it has a decent plot and coop and that makes it appeal to me.

Though as I recall they took all the coop out of the PC ports, splitscreen (which, IMO, console ports should leave in) or otherwise. That's a crying shame IMHO.

Considering how it's cross platform meaning that it's probably some crapy-ass Unity3D graphics. Not that I have anything against Unity3D, but instead of "stunning graphics" and "cool CG," we get digitally animated 2D cutscenes and so-so graphics.

Only $7? Sure, I'll pick it up!
