This is what I get for buying a game with uplay. Never again.

Does anyone else think this is exactly the reason you shouldn't have to share personal information to play a game?

Thanks for putting this out there. I had to look up Ubisoft's PC catalog, because I didn't know if I had an account or not. Turns out I made one as a Far Cry player a long, long time ago.

"If just one site is compromised, hackers can try logging into different portals with your login credentials."

Oh Paul, how little you understand security.

Misquote much?

I don't think that Ubisoft has any of my current info. At least, I don't remember giving it to them.

The link in the e-mail was OK to click on to reset your password (something I normally would NEVER do). I could not get onto the site to do it the proper way as the Ubi site says down for maintenance.
This is the proper link:
*** removed personal link ***

There's an account-specific string in the link. Just FYI, it may send someone to your own password reset page :)

tom_m can you remove his email from that link please, we as regular users cannot edit a post once someone has replied to it.

Thanks.

Sure thing.

Don't worry, that password reset page expires after a while. The only thing exposed right now is his email, he'll soon get a bunch of penis enlargement ads into his inbox.

Oops! I thought this was a OK link to the general password reset page. I never noticed that my email address was in the original string and can no longer edit the comment. Thank you, Tom!
