32 or 64 GB of storage, are you kidding?

Your price is wrong. It's currently $1299.00 from Google. Not that I feel it's worth that much either. It's a slick device but it's still far to tethered to the Internet for my taste. Between that and the ability to get better laptops for 300 to 500 dollars cheaper, I'll stick with non chromebook laptops.

Why do you even review this laptop? Google stated that it won't be freely sold.

What do you mean? It's on the play store. I think they even have a display model at the local best buy in my little town.

1450 for this?! They're crazy!

So not even Google knows whether or not their own product is a stand-alone powerhouse of a computer or an idiot terminal?

Why do you guys pine for 4:3? I couldn't go back to not being able to have multiple windows open, or have multiple pages/frames/whatever open side-by-side in a single window.

For media consumption, widescreen is the way to go. But with writing, whether it's articles, papers, code, or even book keeping, having more vertical real-estate is where it's at. Sometimes I whip out my older 4:3 laptops, and I also pine for the days when I could fit 3-4 more inches of text, while my current 13" widescreen makes me scroll down after a few lines. At my desktop, having monitors that I can turn vertically with certain programs is very beneficial.

I agree about the aspect ratio. There's a reason why the vast majority of languages read from side to side. Our eyes are much better at scanning laterally than vertically. Widescreen makes sense...
