I have a question for the good folks at maximum p.c. is it an official policy of your magazine to not sat the word Christmas ever? and if that is the case could somebody please tell me why? thanks.

Only a 2 year warranty on that Seagate drive. YOu'd do better with the 3 year on the Reds for the same size, plus you get TLER and lower thermals.
Only a complete idiot uses spindle speed as a primary factor when choosing archival storage media. It's Warranty > Reviews/Reported failures > Capacity > thermals > spindle speed. Only slight variations make sense based on personal preference.

Agree. If all the items you mentioned are equal, I will take a 5 year warranty product first. That's why all my Mechanical drives are WD Black.
