Why is the I/O Plate only half height? Was it only ever meant to be used in a test bed, and never a case?

@ nsvander - Look closer! It's a dual slot I/O plate. The reason why the card looks so weird, is because the PCB has been designed to be extra wide and therefore sticks out more than an inch further from the motherboard when mounted. EVGA's GTX780Ti K|NGP|N card has almost the same size PCB and shares this same odd looking appearance:

The oversized PCB allows for additional voltage mosfets, more capacitors to store that extra power for overclocking, as well as the cability to have a larger air cooler (or waterblock) to be mounted onto the PCB.

Now all we need is the benchmarks, and for it to be on sale in NA.

...actually, that's nothing new. EVGA has had this power setup on their GTX780Ti K|NGP|N Classified card for a few months now:

Might be hard to find in US and Canada since last month Galaxy stated that it "discontinued working with our current sales rep in North America". Hardly any Galaxy video cards for sale on Newegg, Amazon or NCIX although TigerDirect has plenty to choose from.

...Galaxy is yet one more graphics card manufacturer that will going out of business soon...
